Globalization
The problem of globalization since the mid 90s of the 20th century has raised huge interest among scientists, mainly economists, but also political scientists and sociologists, and representatives of other areas of science, politicians around the world and international public opinion. […] Therefore it is not surprising that globalization has been the subject of many scientific analyses in which all these opportunities but also threats are drawn attention to.
The authors of the book, seeing the threats connected with globalization, also stress the benefits linked to it now and those which will occur in the future. Most of them are convinced that international community will do everything to minimize the threats connected with globalization and expand the areas giving all the nations concrete benefits. To make this positive scenario come true, the most important leaders on our planet – politicians and economists should, as Bill Clinton did, put on their desks small piece of paper, but not with the note “It’s the economy stupid”, but with motto formulated by other American president, J. F. Kennedy who already at the beginning of the 60s said: “If liberal society is unable to help huge masses of the hungry, it will also not save small number of those who are rich”.
